UPDATE: this was a beautifully managed hoax that managed to fool organizations like CNN, CNET, Forbes - and BBC (which I personally also use as primary news source).

I hold a presentation at www.barcamp.at/Gov2.0camp with the title 'E-gov & Drupal: A love story', that tried to explain to the broad public why did Drupal become so successful in the area of e-government application.

Several people asked me to post it asap, so here it is. I hope you will find some interesting and useful information

"MontenaSoft.at is a web page that demonstrates the capabilities of modern web 2.0 applications. Principally, we have tried to get the most out of jQuery library and demonstrate types of interactions that are usually associated only with the use of flash animations and movies. The benefit of this approach is that jQuery library is integral part of several CMS frameworks (including Drupal).

Here are the slides from my session “Creating a Web Community – Examples” held on 28.Nov.2009 on DrupalCamp at TU Wien. I have talked about the strategies that I had a chance to observe in MontenaSoft’s previous projects, MegaCard.at and forschungsstrategie.at (more details in Portfolio section).

A week ago I held a presentation about Acquia and Acquia Partnership in Austrian Drupal community and got some interesting feedback that I would like to share with.

Ivica and I made a trip to Aarau, Switzerland. There was an interesting gathering of Drupal Community there, Drupal Media Camp from 8 to 9 of May. Impressions are very good; we also had a chance to talk again with some very nice people we met in DrupalCon 2008 in Szeged, Hungary.

This weekend I attended the DrupalCamp in Cologne, Germany. It was again, like in DrupalConf in Szeged, Hungary, and opportunity to meet some very interesting people and to get some insights on Drupal scene in Germany.

After few months of investigations and exchange of ideas in local Drupal community in Serbia, MontenaSoft announce official start of Drupal translation project to Serbian. We will host the translation project page http://l10n.montenasoft.com on our server, and everyone are welcome to contribute to the effort of bringing Drupal internationalization further. Drupal geeks, Drupal related, IT enthusiast, government and NGO-s ... we mean really anyone with time and positive energy.

This last months have been overwhelming! We have learned so much about Drupal in our last projects, and I can say without doubt that Drupal is and will be our platform of choice for the Web development, no matter the size of project. And we have finally found some spare time (usually on the cost of our sleep) to share some of our knowledge about Drupal over Web and improve and update our Portfolio section, so here it is:
